Black Fox Entertainment Begins Production on 'Making Music Herstory' Album and Documentary

Making Music Herstory Combines Indie Artists and Music Industry Veterans

Los Angeles, CA — Black Fox Entertainment proudly announces the beginning of production on Making Music Herstory (www.makingmusicherstory.com), a new contemporary compilation album and music documentary featuring a powerful ensemble of female artists, songwriters, musicians, producers and engineers, including Producer/Engineer Leslie Ann Jones, Engineer Ann Mincielli, Producer/Musician Sheila E., songwriter Paris Strother, and indie artists Kyler England, Jennie Laws, Paige Bryan, Jennah Bell, and more.

The album will feature original songs in the style of R&B, Country, and Rock music -- all with a pop twist. The documentary film will capture the recording process and the exclusive stories from the talent involved, as well as the history of women in music. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of these projects will benefit selected charities.

Making Music Herstory is the brainchild of Lisa Chamblee-Hampton, producer/audio engineer who has worked on several Grammy award nominated projects and is the CEO of Black Fox Entertainment Company. Chamblee-Hampton’s credits include Prince, Justin Timberlake, George Duke, Ledisi, Teena Marie and many more.

“Our aim is simple,” explains Chamblee-Hampton. “We will produce great music—without compromise—using all female talent during the creation and production of the Making Music Herstory album and documentary. I created this project to support the amazing women in the entertainment business and to apply the classic art form of production and songwriting that is missing from so much of today’s music.”

Production on Making Music Herstory is taking place at The Village Recorder Studios in West Los Angeles, and locations are to be determined in Nashville and New York. The completion and availability of Making Music Herstory will be announced.

Chamblee-Hampton adds, “My hope is that through listening and watching Making Music Herstory, women everywhere will be empowered to tackle any aspiration they have in the entertainment business!”
